Court is Back in Session! Law & Love and Betrayal Back for Season 2 on Mzansi Magic
Mzansi’s own legal drama, Law, Love & Betrayal is back for season 2 and bringing even more smoke, starting this Sunday 08 March at 20:00.
Season 2 features new characters including Mzansi’s ‘queen of courtroom carnage’, beloved lethal lawyer, Sandra Stein, ready to remind all why she runs the legal jungle! SAFTA winner Shannon Esra joins the cast as the ruthless, take-no-prisoners legal powerhouse you have loved on several Mzansi telenovelas, including The Queen, The River, Gomora, The Throne, as well as on M-Net’s The Legacy.
Also making their debut are Sparky Xulu (Empini) who plays astute social justice lawyer Sakhile Nxusa and Katlego Lebogang (Spinners, Soft Life), who joins as criminal lawyer Bakang Mokgotso.
Season 2 picks up after the shocking collapse of Gumede & Associates (G&A) and the power struggles are only getting uglier. With Gatsha (Nimrod Nkosi) recovering from a coma, Ayanda (Pearl Modiadie) steps up to run the firm, sparking a vicious leadership battle with James (Anelisa Phewa). New hot-shot lawyer Sakhile Nxusa enters the scene, while Bakang Mokgotso’s arrival pulls the firm into dangerous alliances with powerful figures in the justice system. As betrayals stack up…scandals, blackmail and revenge plots threaten to bring everyone down, the fight for control of G&A turns deadly.
Law, Love & Betrayal is created by executive producer Thandi Ramathesele, produced by Izwi Multimedia and directed by Nthabiseng Tau (Youngins, Outlaws) and SAFTA winners Nthabiseng Mokoena (The Wife, Gomora) and Christo Davids (Spoorloos, Legacy).
