Mario Gaglione’s ‘Omaggio A Puccini’ Comes To The Joburg Theatre
Renowned for his emotionally charged operas, composer Giacomo Puccini is a towering figure in the history of classical music, his works celebrated for their lush melodies and vivid characterisations, capturing the essence of the human experience.
Marking 100 years since Puccini’s death, the ballet Omaggio a Puccini by choreographer Mario Gaglione presents excerpts from three masterpieces – Tosca, La Bohème and Madama Butterfly – celebrating Puccini’s lasting legacy as one of the greatest composers of all time.
The cast includes: Cristina Nakos, Miguel Franco-Green, Alice Le Roux, Bruno Miranda, Savannah Jacobson and Rhulani Moloi.
