Let It Burn

Jesse Clegg brings the heat with ‘Let It Burn’, his new single and upcoming SA tour.

Platinum-selling artist, Jesse Clegg, has burst back on the music scene with his much-anticipated new single, ‘Let It Burn’. The single marks Jesse’s first new original music since the release of I’ve Been Looking in March 2018, which was the first and only collaboration he ever did with his father.

The catchy, upbeat pop-inspired song, Let it Burn, which has recently been released on streaming and download platforms makes an exciting variation from his acoustic rock sound. “As a songwriter, I enjoy the challenge of experimenting with my sound. The vibe of this song was exciting to me because it combines my writing style with a really bold and unpredictable production,” says Clegg.

‘Let It Burn’ is a product of his time spent in Los Angeles writing and recording music with different musicians and producers. He worked with multi-platinum producers, Tim Pagnotta (Neon Trees, Walk the Moon, Blink 182) and Chris Whitehall (The Griswolds, Carly Rae Jepsen), and the result of working with such formidable producers is evident in the quality of the new song.

The song explores embracing the things that you fear. “In the context of a relationship, there are always these moments when you have to make yourself vulnerable to the other person and let them into your life, and we all have fears of being hurt or disappointed. Ultimately, it’s about that moment of conquering your doubts and embracing an experience or a relationship wholeheartedly,” says Clegg.

While the single is enjoying chart action on radio stations around the country, the music video is in post-production and will be released in October.

Jesse is currently in Los Angeles working on new material and returns home in time to kick off his “Let It Burn” tour which will see him performing around the country from November until early January.
