Kevin Fraser’s “Imagination 2025” makes its SA debut this festive season

Join South African comedian Kevin Fraser for his #Imagination2025 comedy tour, a galactic journey blending classic humour with futuristic satire and local flavour. In a star-lit world of wild imagination, Kevin hilariously tackles life’s everyday quirks, from African roots to global absurdities. His brand-new show Imagination brings impersonations, sharp wit, and a sanctuary of laughter to the stage.

Making its world debut at Emperor’s Palace, Johannesburg with shows at 5pm and 9pm on 29 November, the six-city Imagination tour promises a wildly creative escape, where the future and the familiar collide. Kevin Fraser will perform for the first time at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria on 30 November. Next stop is The Guild Theatre, East London on 6 December followed by a show at the Nelson Mandela University, Gqeberha on 7 December. On 13 December the playTsogo Globe at SunCoast is the Durban venue with the tour ending in Cape Town at the CTICC on 15 December. All evening shows begin at 8pm.

Kevin Fraser says:

“My imagination has been running wild this year! After taking the soulful feeling of Africa around the world, my creative sparks have ignited something new. These sparks have laid the foundation for fresh comedy, delivering everything you’ve come to love, but with a bright, renewed twist. Life is meant to be laughed at, so join me as I poke fun at daily struggles, life’s quirks, and a future that seems as uncertain as ever, all wrapped in a fresh burst of hilarious satire!”

Kevin Fraser’s trademark “entertainment comedy” style combines stand-up comedy, dance, and performance skills that captivates audiences; bringing out the laughter, joy and memorable moments  that sets Kevin Fraser as a “stand alone” not-to-be-missed “Entertainment Ambassador“.

His previous tours, The Minister of Entertainment and Africa is a Feeling sold out locally and went on to tour the UK, Middle East, Europe and Australia to critical acclaim and sold-out performances. This year Kevin kicks off his Imagination world tour by opening the show in South Africa. Now you can look forward to one of your favourite acts as he returns to his home stage!

As a youngster, Kevin realised he could not only make people dance, but laugh a little too. His passion for performance and his natural talent started to evolve into something truly unique as he began releasing videos in 2015 about his experience as an ex-pat abroad and did so through the guise of stereotypical South African personas. The success of these videos was instantaneous. Kevin’s career took off, and his fan base exploded across all his platforms.

Today, Kevin Fraser is one of South Africa’s most viewed and enjoyed comedians and content creators who has repeatedly broken the one million view benchmark with his daily observations and hilarious satires. His annual festive season tours are a highlight for many South Africans.

“Mzansi, prepare for lift off! Your imagination is about to go on a hilarious journey!” adds Kevin Fraser.

So lift up your Imagination, don’t miss Kevin Fraser’s, Imagine SA Tour.

About Kevin Fraser

Kevin Fraser, previously known as Spindoctor, began performing at the age of 16 as a DJ in his hometown of Durban, South Africa. He quickly became known as a quirky, techy DJ who fused sassy house beats with soulful vocals, adding percussive flavour to afrolutionize his sound.

In 2013, by the time he made the career move to Johannesburg, he had built a powerful reputation and eclectic following in the industry. He was known for his versatility and his connection with varied audiences thanks to the high energy he brought to the stage. Since then, Kevin has entertained over 100 venues and festivals across South Africa, Miami, Australia, the UK, Europe and Indonesia. He has organized some of South Africa’s hottest parties as a key ambassador for entertainment gurus, G&G Productions. It was with them that Kevin performed for dynamic crowds of up to 12,000 people. He shared the stage with the likes of Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack and Avicii.

Kevin’s entrepreneurial skill inspired him to develop not just an entertainment brand, but a label that speaks to a niche market of performers and entertainment players alike. He founded Cream Kulture in 2013, coordinating all his own events, developing apparel, and being the ambassador of his own brand. After his move to Australia in 2014, Kevin’s passion for performance and his natural comedic talent started to evolve into something truly unique. Before long, he realised he could not only make people dance, but laugh a little too. Kevin began releasing videos about his experience as an ex-pat abroad and did so through the guise of stereotypical South African personas. The success of these videos was instantaneous. Kevin’s career took off, and his fan base exploded.

He has since broken the 1 million view mark with one of his more famous South African personas in “The Melbourne Train Ride” and “Honourable Teletubbies”. This gift for entertainment has now found him on the stage, performing for thousands of fans across the globe. Kevin brings a unique fusion of music and comedy to the stage and delivers truly inimitable performances. At the end of 2022, Kevin toured South Africa debuting his latest show, “The Ministry of Entertainment.” In 2023 Kevin successfully toured the UK, Middle East, Europe and Australia with his “Africa is a Feeling” six city tour.
