Christia Visser Returns to Diepe Waters
From Thursday, 21 November, Christia Visser makes her reappearance in Diepe Waters – and viewers can brace themselves for drama!
When her character, Candy, appeared on the scene a few months ago, she and her boyfriend, Bert, kidnapped Rossouw (Altus Theart) and held him for ransom. Rossouw still bears the scars of that traumatic experience.
Now, as Alisa – her real name – she unexpectedly returns to Diepe Waters. However, she hides her past and strikes up a friendship with Sanet (Nadia Valvekens). The two women quickly become close friends, but Sanet has no idea about Alisa’s involvement in Rossouw’s traumatic past.
Christia shares that Alisa is embarking on a new journey:
“Yes, she returns, but as far as she’s concerned, she’s moving forward. She’s shedding all the gimmicks and is on a journey of rediscovery.”
How will viewers respond to this new side of Candy?
“I hope they see how hard she’s trying… I think there will be a lot of uncertainty,” Christia says.
For Christia, returning to the set was a wonderful experience:
“Lovely as always. It’s a great team, and the storyline moves quickly, so it keeps you on your toes.”
What can viewers expect from the new storyline?
“They can look forward to an honest yet still flawed Candy and all the drama that comes with her.”
