Star 91.9fm celebrates 1 year since it first broadcast on the 1st of July 2021. The Community- Based Radio Station broadcasts primarily to the affluent Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg on the 91.9FM frequency and champions the Best in Local Music and More!
Staying true to their word, Star 91.9fm continues breaking new music from both established and emerging artists across a variety of music genres and sub genres. This has been made evident by the numerous interviews as well as the dynamic music playlist which boasts an 80:20 Split of local and international music respectively.
Although the Music is a core pillar of the station, one cannot shy away from the fact that Star 91.9fm boasts an impressive roster of on-air presenters!
Greg and Lucky have been hosting the station’s weekday Breakfast show “Greg And Lucky In The Morning” for the past year and they have embraced the challenge of broadcasting on a brand new Station.

As with most radio stations, the Afternoon Drive Time show remains a coveted slot and on the 1st of March 2022, Star 919 launched The All Star Drive hosted by Justin Toerien and Unathi Nkayi. The combination of the two experienced broadcasters produced Radio Gold in the form of an energetic show that isn’t scared to delve into topics that directly affect the community and nation at large. Justin and Unathi chose to include a feature called Therapy Tuesdays which seeks to promote positive conversations around Mental Health issues and has since proven to be a highly popular segment on the Show.
