Line Up For 24-Hour Music Festival – Afreefest Annouced!

The full line-up of musicians, artists, comedians, and creatives who have pledged their 67 minutes of change, and an all-round good time with 24-hour online music festival, AFREEFEST, have been announced!

The Black Picket Fence, Sun Xa Experiment, Themba, Kid Fonque, Steve Dyer, Sibusile Xaba, King of Broken Things, Mzansi Youth Choir, Jacques Moolman, Qadasi & Maqhinga, Lady Zamar, Bassline CCA Tribute featuring Elemotho, Makoomba, Nakhane and Yugen Blakrok, Goodluck, John Fairhurst (UK), My Baby (Netherlands), Vimo, and Abby Nurock. The festival will also feature UBUNYE Yoyga for kids by Vanyah, Ladles of Love World Record-Breaking attempt and digital photographic exhibitions.

In the name and spirit of Ubuntu and Freedom of Expression, each of the participating musicians, artists, comedians and creatives will share a personal 67 second, or longer, message of inspiration to the world, a world that is in need of wisdom and togetherness during this turbulent time.

Inspired by the African term of ‘Ubuntu’ meaning “humanity” and “I am because we are”, AFREEFEST is a platform that was created by the people, for the people to share creative cultural experiences in art, music, and comedy.

The festival will go online on Mandela Day, 18 July from 00:01 AM (CAT – Central African Time) till 23:59 PM and will be aired on AFREEFEST.com, as well as broadcast partners SkyRoomLive.com and all willing partner platforms.

Whilst the event is FREE, viewers can support where they can, proceeds from any donations will go towards South Africa 4 Entertainment (SAFE) and Feed Our Crew.
