Palesa and Palesa are the last pair to cook and will be looking to at least better Brett & Aidan’s 54/100 to progress to the second round of the competition.
Doing any better than that is ‘gravy’, with Retha & Tshepi leading on 70/100, Nevi & Craig on 64/100 and Karen & Tenille third with 61/100.
Timing becomes a challenge for the 5-year besties very quickly as they try to piece together their winning menu – but is it a case of ‘slow and steady’ or will their snail-like pace cost them their place?
With talk of ‘strategic scoring’ coming to the fore – and with the altercation at the table over salmon last week between Palesa M and Tenille – will politics trump flavour at the end of Table 1’s Instant Restaurant phase?
