Nature-led beauty takes centre stage at 2026 Good Life Show

The 2026 Good Life Show in Cape Town will showcase a vast selection of personal care and beauty products that meet the booming demand for nature-sourced and sustainably formulated cosmetics.

South Africa’s premier conscious living extravaganza, held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from May 29-31 and at Johannesburg’s Sandton Convention Centre from September 18-20, serves as the ideal platform to highlight the significant contributions African businesses make to the global nature-sourced cosmetics industry.

The continent’s producers are emerging as significant players in a space set to be worth more than $30 billion (R500 billion) by 2030.

Heidi Warricker, Chief Events Officer at The Good Life Show organiser, Live Events, says:

“One of the most compelling aspects of this year’s Good Life Show, now in its sixth year, is the diversity and quality of natural skincare and beauty brands on display.”

“Visitors will be able to discover everything from heritage botanicals to cutting-edge plant-based formulations, while engaging directly with the passionate entrepreneurs behind these products. It’s about connecting conscious consumers with brands that truly reflect their values.”

Good Life Show exhibitor Cactus Circle Co., an independent venture dedicated to premium skincare and holistic wellness, exemplifies how local businesses are drawing from the natural environment to create world-class products.

The company extracts oil from the seeds of the Opuntia cactus, better known as the prickly pear cactus, whose richness in natural vitamins, phytosterols, and antioxidants makes it perfect for nourishing skin.

Similarly, Haylo Botanicals uses African heritage botanicals such as Electric Daisy, Mongongo, Rosehip, Red Raspberry, Bisabolol, Squalane, Ximenia, Yangu, Marula, Kalahari Melon Seed, and Seabuckthorn oils to create simple, effective skin treatments.

Another of this year’s exhibitors is the women-led South African skincare brand Nathi Skin, whose farm-to-formula philosophy manifests in a lightweight, fast-absorbing macadamia body oil designed to support the skin’s natural barrier.

The oil, sourced from macadamia farms along the Zululand coastline, is rich in oleic acid and antioxidants, resulting in skin that is deeply nourished, balanced, soft, and radiant.

Good Life Show attendees will also have the chance to experience plant-based skincare offerings from Darklight Beauty, Down to Earth, Enough, Haylur Organics, HuDu Skin Care, Halal-friendly Imaan Luxury Organics, Namibian desert-inspired Mbiri Natural Skincare, Naturals Beauty, and Skin Clays.

The name “Ouma Hanna se Boerseep” is sure to be a major drawcard in itself.

This soap is made from ox or sheep fat, rainwater, caustic soda, and sodium hydroxide. Each bar can be used to clean everything from walls and tiles to rugs and carpets, and because its pH is so low, it is also suitable as a hand and body wash.

Touch by Africa, meanwhile, is an organic, vegan-friendly South African brand that is inspired by Africa, its fauna and flora, sounds and smells.

The range includes face, body and hair care products as well as fragrances featuring ingredients such as the indigenous fynbos plant Buchu, African Sage, African Wormwood, and Baobab oil.

This year’s Good Life Show has partnered with the Atlanta Black Chambers, Black Beauty Industry Initiative (BBII), which represents a powerful network of beauty and wellness professionals who collectively influence thousands of consumer purchasing decisions each week.

Partnering with BBII gives the event direct access to an engaged audience of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals who drive trends, product adoption, and economic impact within the beauty and wellness economy.

Another major coup for exhibitors is that they will be connected to tier-one distributors across Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Europe, Japan, Canada, and the US.

Buyers, alongside international trade experts and distributors, will engage with exhibitors, sponsors, and strategic partners at each venue through informal networking and a series of one-on-one private sessions to forge potential business deals that could expand into global markets.

The three-day event is expected to draw more than 15 000 visitors across both cities.
