Vinette Ebrahim joins the cast of Legacy.
Legacy audiences were introduced to a sweet, yet feisty Marie Fortune played by the incredible Vinette Ebrahim, on the 20th of October on M-Net 101.
Marie enters the Legacy-verse as one of the first employees of Brightside – a new company formed by Lexi, Sims and Stefan. Lexi brings her onboard as the receptionist, and from her first day she is completely invested and even overly keen to help administer the company. This is her first ‘corporate’ job, which came at the right time for her.
Marie promises to be the nurturing mother to the young entrepreneurs and their voice of reason when needed.
Character Bio:
Marie Fortune is a 50 year old warm-hearted woman. Despite her clumsiness and inability to read the room, she is easy to love and an almost motherly figure in the Brightside office. She is a caretaker at heart, loyal to her friends and family, and always committed to trying her best. Those around her might find her amusing at times, but no one really ever gets angry at Marie – even if she lays down the law in the office!
Marie entered the Price’s lives as Lexi and SJ’s nanny when they were children – given that both parents’ in their lives were worked full-time. Lexi formed an especially close bond with Marie and kept in touch long after Marie had stopped working for the Prices. Despite her close connection to the Prices, Marie is far from being anything like them. She’s a working-class woman from humble beginnings with a family to feed.
