‘We Lit A Match’ — Saxbytwins Return From First International Tour With Fiery New Single and Springbok Game Day Line-Up

The SaxbyTwins are on fire—literally. Their latest single, We Lit A Match, isn’t just a song title; it’s a metaphor for everything happening in their lives right now. The high-energy duo have just returned from their first international tour, are gearing up to perform at the Castle Lager Beer Garden during the Springboks’ home test matches, and are teasing more music and major festival appearances to come.

The single lands just as the twins return from their first overseas tour, where they performed at a festival in Madeira.

“It blew us away,” they say. “Seeing South Africans who’ve moved abroad still showing up to support us was special, but having international fans sing our lyrics back to us? That’s a dream come true.”

We Lit A Match captures the exhilarating spark of meeting someone who changes everything.

“It’s about that electric moment when two people lock eyes and the world tilts,” they explained. “It’s the rush of taking a chance — of choosing to let someone in, not knowing if you’ll be healed, but knowing you can’t turn away.”

The international tour experience reaffirmed what the brothers have long believed: their music is ready to go global.

“We’ve never had the easiest road, but we’ve kept showing up. That tour reminded us we’re capable of stepping onto some of the world’s biggest stages. We’ve always said: they say impossible, we say let’s try.”

Their momentum continues back home, as they’ve been added to the Castle Lager Beer Garden line-up at the Springboks’ upcoming home games. The opportunity hits close to home for the brothers, who grew up playing cricket and rugby.

“We were born to entertain, and sport has always been part of our lives. To combine the two? It’s honestly a dream.”

Fans attending the matches can expect a set full of energy, surprises, and plenty of GEES.

“We want to bring people together and give them a space to let loose and feel the joy of unity. It’s about more than a show; it’s a feeling.”

Looking ahead to the rest of 2025, the SaxbyTwins are teasing a potential EP, plenty more live shows, and a few festival stages they’re itching to announce. Offstage, they’re also staying focused on personal goals, especially around fitness.

“There’s talk of a Full Ironman next. We love bringing people along for the journey and showing a side of us that’s not just about the music.”

With We Lit A Match igniting the next chapter of their story, the SaxbyTwins are proving that this flame isn’t going out anytime soon.
