Riaan Benadé ends the year with a bit of ‘Vitamin Sea’
As the year quickly approaches its end, Riaan Benadé has decided to treat his fans, especially by releasing his latest single, Vitamiene See (“Vitamin Sea”).
This cheerful song, written by Riaan himself, was inspired by his wife, Melissa, who encouraged him to create a song capturing the feeling of being on holiday by the ocean.
“It’s a lighthearted song that hopefully does nothing more than make you happy,” says Riaan.
The song was crafted with the holiday energy of their recent trip to Mauritius in mind, where it already served as the soundtrack to their getaway.
Riaan is known for his ability to be unexpectedly creative, and this project is no exception.
“Writing, producing, and releasing a song within three weeks is like whipping up a Sunday after-church meal in 15 minutes,” he jokes.
The production of Vitamiene See was a team effort, with Ricus Nel as the producer. Riaan praises Ricus for his dedication amidst a busy year. This song delivers a nostalgic yet fresh sound, perfect for any holiday mood, and Riaan hopes it inspires listeners to relax and enjoy themselves — whether at the beach or elsewhere.
The music video was filmed in Mauritius, using only smartphones. Riaan and Melissa handled all the filming and editing, making it one of his most personal and cost-effective projects.
With new projects already in the pipeline, Riaan promises his creative journey will continue to surprise him.
