Netflix Releases the Trailer for Newest Film, Heart of the Hunter
Netflix dropped the official trailer for its latest local action thriller, Heart of the Hunter, which will launch on the service on 29 March 2024.
On the run from the Presidential Intelligence Agency (PIA), Zuko Khuma (Bonko Khoza) is racing towards information that could bring down a presidential candidate. The PIA thinks Zuko is easy prey, but they don’t know about his past or how lethal he is. There will be hell to pay.
Heart of the Hunter follows Zuko Khumalo, an unassuming family man with a complicated history who works at the local auto shop. When his past unexpectedly comes calling, he embarks on one final mission. The stakes could not be higher as he fights for not only his country’s democracy but his family’s too.
This fast-paced, hair-raising thriller features an incredible constellation of South African stars, including Connie Ferguson, Masasa Mbangeni, Tim Theron, Deon Coetzee, Peter Butler, Sisanda Henna, and Connie Chiume. The film is directed by the critically acclaimed Mandla Dube and adapted from the book Heart of the Hunter, written by beloved South African author Deon Meyer. Meyer also serves as co-writer and executive producer on the film.
Heart of the Hunter will launch on the service on 29 March 2024.
