LG’s Make Life Good Project Brings Renewed Hope in Transformative Reality Show on Mzansi Magic
The spirit of Ubuntu is taking center stage on the new reality series LG’s Make Life Good, coming to Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) on Thursday, 11 June at 19:00.
Hosted by Jessica Dlamini, LG’s Make Life Good Project is an uplifting reality series bringing goodwill, purpose and transformation into one unforgettable viewing experience. In each episode, the host connects with an aspirational individual-someone who has achieved success but remains deeply committed to giving back – and explores the cause closest to their heart.
The achievers who will be featured in this six-part series, plus their chosen causes are: William Okpara (Former Orlando Pirates Goalkeeper) for Kensington Secondary School; Saray Khumalo (Mountaineer, explorer, author and First Black African woman to summit Everest) for LIV Lanseria; Adze Ugah (Director, writer and producer) for Bold Men Skills Program, Thandi Mavata (Entrepreneur, author, founder of Doek on Fleek, Mental health and women empowerment advocate) for Leratong Joy for One (Alexandra) and Perpetual Kendi ( Pan-African entrepreneur, communications strategist and Laute Luxury Wines founder.
With the host, they visit an organisation that is changing lives despite limited resources and overwhelming challenges – from feeding vulnerable families to empowering young people and uplifting communities – these organisations are doing the hard work of hope every single day.
In a display of true ubuntu, the LG and the Make Life Good team steps in to deliver a high-pressure 24-hour transformation, creating a powerful, real-world impact. It’s high stakes, high pressure and deeply emotional as the Make Life Good builders and creative team work tirelessly to create meaningful change before time runs out.
What comes thereafter is not just an amazing makeover but also a testament of the true power of collective action and a renewed chance for these organisations to serve more needy people, restore dignity and to continue changing lives.
Mbali Ntuli, GE Head of Unscripted Content at MultiChoice, a Canal plus company, says:
“This is more than just reality television, but a celebration of compassion and the unique Mzansi belief that when one rises, they should be thrive to lift others as well. We are honoured and proud to be at the center of a project that is a reminder that even a small act of kindness can transform an entire community.”
Echoing these sentiments, Phil Jung, CEO of Middle East and Africa Region, LG Electronics adds:
“At LG, our ‘Life’s Good’ philosophy is built on the belief that technology should serve humanity, making our daily lives more convenient, connected, and meaningful. With ‘Make Life Good’ series, we want to move beyond product specifications and celebrate the authentic, emotional human stories of our region.”
