Hannes Aan Huis returns for its 13th season filled with heart and unforgettable stories

One of kykNET’s most beloved lifestyle programmes, Hannes Aan Huis, kicks off 2026 with a brand-new season in which Hannes van Wyk visits a variety of guests who are sure to brighten viewers’ Tuesday evenings.

The season opens with Lize Beekman, who — as always — touches the heartstrings with her gentle voice and moving wisdom. This is followed by an intense, honest and inspiring conversation with actor David Reese, who shares with Hannes his journey of recovery, the challenges he has faced, and the new perspective that has grown from it.

From there, Hannes packs his bags and heads to Bloemfontein for a warm, laughter-filled visit with beloved children’s book phenomenon Jaco Jacobs, where stories, creativity and childlike wonder flow freely.

There is also a variety of powerful figures from the world of sport, culture and media. Rugby legend Kobus Wiese and former Springbok James Dalton take viewers behind the scenes of their lives on and off the field, while the “diva of the airwaves,” Martelize Brink, shares her unique career and life journey as only she can.

Hannes also speaks with Prof Michael le Cordeur about the heart of education, the building of identity and the way forward for South African learners — a conversation filled with wisdom, perspective and inspiration. The conversation then moves to the kitchen, where Hannes and iconic chef Reuben Riffel celebrate the flavour and soul of South African cuisine.

Culture lovers are treated to visits with three major names: the dynamic CEO of Artscape, Marlene le Roux; legendary poet Antjie Krog; and the sparkling opera star Zanne Stapelberg.

Hannes also travels to Caledon to visit Heindrich Wyngaard — news hound, media personality and chairperson of Cape Forum — for a conversation about community, media and inspiration.

And then, for the big finale, the red carpet is rolled out for the glamorous Anita Lloyd from Real Housewives van die Wynlande. Prepare yourself for style, stories and a home that will take your breath away.

The 13th season of Hannes Aan Huis is packed with heart, humour, reflection, inspiration and incredible human stories. It is the perfect gathering place for anyone who loves honest conversations, remarkable people and valuable life lessons.

Hannes Aan Huis season 13 premieres on Tuesday, 6 January at 21:00 exclusively on kykNET (DStv channel 144). The series will also be available on DStv Stream and Catch Up.
