Andre the Hilarious Hypnotist is back in The Bay
Andre the Hilarious Hypnotist returns to The Boardwalk to enthrall local fans with his fast witted humour and mind boggling tricks. Marking a record breaking 26 years on stage as South Africa’s very own convener of the strange weird and wonderful, Andre will perform at The Boardwalk Amphitheatre from 26 to 29 June 2019.
Andre is renowned for presenting unforgettable, highly-interactive performances that leave his audiences flitting between fits of laughter and gasping in absolute amazement as ordinary volunteers drop deep into a hypnotic trance and lose all inhibitions with just a click of his fingers.
No two shows are ever the same as the shows’ strength lies in the fact that every night’s volunteers are completely different, leading to a diverse hilarious action-packed performance. With every person reacting differently to Andre’s suggestion, not even Andre knows what to expect when he steps up on stage.
“Andre’s shows are innocent, fun entertainment for young and old where members of the audience become the stars of the show. For 75 minutes Andre will have fans in stitches of laughter as he has volunteers impersonate anything from a kettle and a goldfish to a shark or school teacher,” says Nqobile Qupe, Marketing Manager at The Boardwalk.
Andre, who has presented his explosively funny hypnosis show at more than 4 500 live performances and hypnotized well over 30000 people, hurls the age-old art form of hypnosis kicking and screaming into the 21st century with supersonic hypnotic speed and outrageously funny sketches. Trained by the legendary Max Collie and having set attendance records at nearly all theatres in South Africa, Andre is yet to show signs of slowing down.
