The Voice SA coaches get deeply invested in the talent at The Blind Auditions – and LIRA breaks the rules!

With their teams filling up fast, The Voice SA’s four coaches are pulling out all the stops to get the best talent into their teams during this week’s Blind Auditions. Will rocker Francois van Coke’s fortunes change after his failure to nab some of the exceptional singers in previous episodes?  Or will rapper and music guru Riky Rick continue to try and trump Francois with pitches that lure the talent into his team instead, even though there are just two spaces left in #TeamRiky?

Riky’s tears and breakdown at the end of last week’s Blind Auditions are also just a prelude to all the drama and emotion awaiting viewers in the next episode – not only on the red chairs, but also on stage and in the wings, the vantage point from which Anele Mdoda and the talent’s friends and family witness all the action.  A frustrated coach Riana, who wants to mentor everyone but already has an almost full team, shares some heartfelt moments about her personal struggle in the music industry. And LIRA’s desire to train top talent prompts her to break the rules – again!

Her previous transgression involved  64-year old grandmother Stephne Rose. Even though the coaches are not allowed to speak to no-turns, Lira was so fascinated by Stephne’s rendition of the Tom Jones classic “It’s Not Unusual”  that she joined her on stage for an impromptu duet. What will everyone’s favourite Afro-chic songbird be up to this time?
