Sip Happens! The Bubbly Festival is back and better than ever!
If your idea of a perfect weekend includes superb bubbles, fabulous food, lekker live music and great company, then clear your calendar, because The Bubbly Festival is back and it’s bringing the sparkle in a big way.
Taking over the breathtaking Anura Wine Estate on 25 & 26 April from 12h00 to 17h00, this is not just a bubbly festival it’s a full-on vibe. Think rolling vineyards, golden autumn light and glasses that are never empty.
Some of the country’s top producers will be sampling (and selling) their acclaimed Cap Classiques, including Anura, Benguela Cove, Gorgeous, House of BNG, L’Ormarins, Rickety Bridge and Tanzanite while Champagnes such as Tattinger and Sparkling Wines like Verve du Vernay will also be on offer. Whether you’re a casual sipper or a certified fizz fanatic, this is the moment to swirl, taste, savour and discover new favourites.
The drinks don’t stop at bubbles either. Expect Insta-worthy cocktails from Andiamo Spritz, a Gin Fizz experience hosted by Blame Lilly Gin Parlour and a zesty Limoncello Fizz stand to keep things fresh.
And because no great party happens on an empty stomach, the food lineup is serving up serious cravings. From gourmet burgers (courtesy Yummies Fast Food) and wood-fired pizzas (Love Pizzas) to cheeseburgers, sourdough toasties, pastries, coffees and more (courtesy the WCafe food truck). For those with a sweet tooth, don’t miss the next-level macarons that will be on offer from Ladurée.
Music? Of course. Live beats will keep the energy high, starting with the laidback sounds of Newton & Co and building to the Afro-house beats of ShenFM, while a stylish, fashion-forward crowd brings the aesthetic. The theme is ‘country club chic’, so festivalgoers can go either funky sportswear or linens. The idea is to dress to impress while at the same time being comfortable and relaxed. Envy-inducing prizes (a case of Cap Classiques, anyone?) will be on offer to those deemed to have the best outfits while a retail store for bubbly accessories such as bags, hats and glasses will be on location for those who love to shop till they drop or for those who may have forgotten an item at home.
Ticket options range from laid-back to full luxury moment. Go for General Access if you’re there to sip and socialise, level up to the Bubbly Lounge for extra comfort and perks or go all out with the Private Members Lounge, complete with a lavish harvest table and serious VIP energy.
