Ziggy Alberts releases the official music video for his latest single ‘New Love’
Ziggy Alberts, the Australian singer-songwriter adds fuel to his New Love campaign fire, today premiering the official music video for his latest single, New Love on YouTube.
Filmed amidst the picturesque backdrop of Goldstream Park Vancouver, Canada, the video explores the profound influence of relationships on personal growth and self-discovery. Through powerful storytelling and breathtaking visuals, the release underscores the importance of community and the power of human connection in tapping into one’s inner child and navigating life’s challenges.
At the heart of this cinematic creation are Alberts’ cousins, Shamira, Hilo, and Scosha. Their inclusion adds a deeply personal layer to the project, perfectly juxtaposing Alberts’ folk-inspired sound scapes with their unique urban dance styles.
Led by Brad Cauchy, a collaborator from Alberts’ 2023 REWIND North America tour and now friend, the filmmaking team has further contributed creative insight to seamlessly merge music and visual storytelling, crafting a narrative that resonates through authenticity and emotion.
Aided by the talent of his cousins and filmmaking team, Alberts has managed to add more depth to the song’s meaning, emphasising the significance of family, friendship, and universal bonds; inviting viewers to introspect on their own journey of self-discovery, the importance of relationships, and the invaluable role that loved ones play along the way.
With the release of his new single, New Love, Ziggy Alberts continues to solidify his position as an independent recording and touring solo artist to be reckoned with.
New Love is a nod to another year of extensive touring worldwide and is the latest studio release since his hugely popular 2022 album ‘Dancing In The Dark‘. His previous work, ‘Laps Around the Sun‘ which achieved ARIA Double Platinum Certified status, foreshadows the anticipated success of ‘New Love’, which comes as a second instalment to this critically acclaimed album.
In May 2024 Ziggy was awarded the APRA for most performed Blues & Roots work for his album ‘Dancing In The Dark‘. This follows on from Ziggy’s 2022 milestone when he first added APRA award winner to his notable list of achievements, including his ARIA Accredited repertoire including 6 Gold Singles, 1 Gold Album, 7 Platinum Singles, 1 Double Platinum single and 1 Platinum EP.
