10 reasons why kykNET’s Die Brug is must-see reality TV
kykNET’s new reality series, Die Brug – a local version of an international hit format – premiered last Thursday, 26 October, on DStv channel 144 and already an elimination looms.
12 strangers embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Each of the players have no idea what they’re in for, and viewers get a front-row seat to the journey as the players discover what’s in store.
In the premiere episode of Die Brug, viewers were introduced to the 12 players of the series and the massive, almost impossible task at hand – the building of a bridge with their bare hands. In no time, the twists and turns arrived, and things were not always as they seemed. This week, the atmosphere is filled with tension and fear as the elimination of one unlucky player is imminent.
Who will Avril choose to send home, and what will her decision be based on?
More reasons why you need to watch Die Brug this week:
- Leadership: In Tina’s opinion, “a leader is only as good as the people they work with”. Is Avril’s reign coming to an end?
- White gold: A few players stumble upon something extremely useful – a game changer.
- It gets real: “I think to be here, who you are on the inside will be challenged. And, with who you are, to face it honestly, with all the emotions, good or bad,”
- Nonny says: Will this place change them forever?
- The rafts: Are the players building at a fast enough pace, and are their rafts sink-proof and safe?
- Trust and choices: A flare goes off, and the players are presented with another choice. For the first time, trust is tested in the game.
With Die Brug, nothing is ever simple. Who will walk over to claim the big prize?
Die Brug is produced by Red Pepper Pictures. The series will be available on DStv Premium on kykNET (DStv Channel 144) from Thursday 26 October 2023 at 20:00 as well as live-streamed on DStv Stream and is available on DStv Catch Up after broadcast.
