Bloodstock SA to host KZN Yearling Sale at Sibaya
Bloodstock South Africa has once again chosen Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom to host the KwaZulu-Natal Yearling Sale on 4 and 5 July 2019. The event will see buyers and potential buyers bid for thoroughbred horses from leading South African stud farms in an exclusive auction.
The KZN Yearling Sale has produced a lengthy list of high class graded stakes winners over the years, with notable recent graduates including such notable G1 winners as Eyes Wide Open, Happy Valentine, Same Jurisdiction, Seal, and Wild One.
Among the sires represented on this year’s 289 strong auction are such top class stallions as Duke Of Marmalade, Dynasty, Elusive Fort, Gimmethegreenlight, Ideal World, Oratorio, Pomodoro, Querari, Silvano, Twice Over, Var, Visionaire and What A Winter, while stallions represented by their first KZN Yearling Sales drafts include such exciting prospects as Act Of War, Coup De Grace, Flying The Flag, Futura, Global View, LouisThe King (himself a former KZN Sale star), and Willow Magic.
This year, the KZN Yearling Sale will also offer buyers a rare opportunity to buy a half-brother (Lot 132) to a US G1 winner, with Klawervlei Stud offering a Silvano half-brother to G1 Just A Game Stakes winner Antonoe at the sale.
Tracy Bamber, the PR coordinator at Sibaya says it is an honour for Sibaya to host the Yearling Sale.

The event is open to the public. Entrance is free. The auction starts at 12h00 on 4 July for Lots 1 to 150 and from 12h00 on 5 July for Lots 151 to 289.
