Sisters Tsepang and Refilwe keep things local with their Instant Restaurant set in Alberton.

With Shaeem & Mas-ud setting the bar with a season-high score of 74/100 last week, the pressure is on sisters Tšepang & Refilwe this week as they look to impress their guests with a meal based on their maternal grandmother’s love letters to cooking.

Expectations are high, thanks to Tšepang’s work as a lifestyle, food & wine writer – though varsity student Refilwe has a more measured and cost-conscious approach to meals.

A mix of speedbumps and successes turn their evening into an emotional one which tests their powerful bond – and has one contestant at the table singing songs of praise.

Come 11 December, one of the 10 pairs of this season’s home cooks will walk away with R1 million!
