Lots of wine, generosity & once-in-a-lifetime experiences

One of the world’s most prestigious charity wine auctions will once again take centre stage in 2026, as The Cape Wine Auction, in proud partnership with Nederburg, returns on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Set against the elegant backdrop of the Nederburg Wine Estate in Paarl, the event brings together icons of the wine industry, international collectors, philanthropists and social tastemakers for a day of glamour, generosity and extraordinary giving.

Regarded as one of the most significant international wine charity auctions ever conceived in South Africa, the Cape Wine Auction has, since its inception in 2014, united the wine industry around a single, powerful mission: to raise funds for youth education in the Cape Winelands. In just over a decade, the event has raised more than R135 million, all of which has been directed to carefully selected beneficiaries working at the forefront of educational development.

These beneficiaries operate within a collaborative and highly effective model that emphasises strategic impact, best-practice sharing and measurable outcomes. A board of Trustees – leaders in corporate, philanthropic, and entrepreneurial sectors, along with a full-time Trust Facilitator – ensures that every rand raised drives real and lasting change.

As ever, the 2026 auction catalogue promises one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-repeated lots for guests to bid on, ranging from rare wines to international escapes, luxury private home stays and VIP access to the inner circles of wine, art, sport and culture.

Cape Wine Auction Director Darielle Robertson, notes:

“These opportunities come along once, for one auction and are seldom repeated.”

Below is a preview of some of the standout lots already confirmed for what is anticipated to be one of the most exceptional Cape Wine Auction events to date.
