SA Dance Foundation’s WC Coastal Super Series at GrandWest in June

Western Cape Coastal Super Series (SS) Championships, part of the South African Dance Foundation (SADF) sanctioned Super Series competition range, is taking place at Sun Exhibits, GrandWest on 15 June 2019.

The Super Series Championships are a log ladder competition meaning that the dancers should compete to accrue points in lieu of receiving South African National Colours, which are handed out annually at the South African Open Dance Championships.

The Super Series Championships have developed into flag ship competitions since it started in 2013. More than 20 genres of dance styles take part in the event. This year the former World Ten Dance Finalists will also be performing. The Super Series attracts support and entries from all Associations and are held under the Freedom to Dance banner.

“This is a wonderful event, with a positive atmosphere and a high standard of dancing,” says Elouise Matthys, the PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest. “The venue is conducive for championship competitions and so attracts the top talent in South Africa and neighbouring countries.”

Spectator tickets are available at the door, adults are R150 p/p while children younger than 16 years old and pensioners cost R120 p/p. Reserved table seating is R200 p/p. The competition starts at 10h00 and carries on until 22h00.
