All The Good Vibes at Splashy Fen Music Festival 2024

As Day One of the 4-Day music and lifestyle festival kicks off in the rolling hills of Underberg, the sun is shining, the campers are smiling and there is a clear buzz of excitement in the air as the festival grounds full up with that Splashy Feeling.

Splashy 2024 has kicked off for the 34th edition of South Africa’s friendliest festival. At the time of this release, 3480 people have already made their way to the Splashy Fen farm to set up camp for the next 4 days of music, merriment, and so much more. Ice and wood are for sale, over 30 food stalls will feed our happy campers, and 5 unique stage areas will entertain, no matter the weather.

Marketing Manager Kendall Snyman, says:

“We have a rule here at Splashy Fen. We don’t talk about the weather unless it’s good talk. Even though there is rain predicted for today, the Fenners are out in full force to have some fun: some with bikinis and board shorts, some with gumboots and jackets. That’s the beauty of Splashy Fen… anything goes. And the same applies to the skyline.”

As always, the festival site has come alive with colourful installations, positive signage and just an all-around happy vibe that can be felt across the festival site. Chill zones, craft stalls, pop-up bars and silent discos. Teepee experiences, pony rides, train dining and cocktails with a view at the Klipdrift Splashy Views. Aerial yoga, trail runs, belly dancing, drumming workshops, kid zones, art canvases, fire breathers, and more… So much more!

Over 300 acts are set to play over the next 4 days, with the Tree House Stage and Sedgwick’s Acoustic Stage kicking off the festival with a host of local musos and a few Open MIC sessions for those brave enough to take to the stage. Fans can also look forward to a thrilling Silent Disco on the main stage tonight, which is sure to get the feet tapping and bodies moving to the sounds of 2 in-house DJS competing for the headphones.

Tomorrow sees the opening of the ever-popular Corona River Stage with live music, fresh food, river frolicking, chill zones, and more of the Splashy Fen vibes that fans have been missing out on. The Main Stage will also kick off tomorrow with Parable Fifteen, Monark, Hot Water, The Splashy Lights Spectacle, Casey Lowry and Durban favourites Veranda Panda.

Splashy Fen 2024 takes place over the traditional Easter weekend from the 28 March to 1 April when festival-goers will experience a long weekend in the picturesque setting of Underberg, enjoying the best Splashy Fen experience to date.

Ticket Prices:
General Pass is R1495 for adults, R550 for children ages 4-12, and R20 for children under 4
Day Pass costs is R600 for adults and R200 for children under 12
Weekend Pass costs is R1265 for adults (Saturday / Sunday)
Group Special Normal Festival Pass (6 tickets) costs is R1380 for adults

Every ticket holder is required to buy their own Splashy Fen Reusable Cup, which they will receive upon arrival at the festival.
The cost is R10, and is added to your base ticket price.
