Ross Learmonth Continues To Lean Into Vulnerability and Reflection With New Single, ‘Days’
Following the success of his previous single, Ready To Dance, Ross Learmonth shares his latest single, Days – the next offering in his continued solo journey, one that has seen him lean into vulnerability and reflection.
“The song is very special to me,” Ross shares. “It’s an ode to my younger self in a way. How the things we go through help make us who we are.”
There’s nostalgia here, but it’s not rose-coloured. Days acknowledges growth, mistakes, distance, and the bittersweet reality that time moves faster than we expect. It explores how we sometimes have to lose ourselves, even “wreck ourselves,” to understand who we truly are.
Built around vivid imagery of childhood homes, cemented names, backyard trees, and unfinished conversations, the song captures the quiet ache of looking back while standing firmly in the present. It can be daunting to look back on things, but there’s also something beautiful about memories.
“That’s what I hope people will take from the song. I hope they can see their own stories, and that this resonates with me. Maybe even bring back an old memory.”
While it’s always important for us to reflect on things that have passed, it’s also important to stand firmly in the present while looking forward to what’s to come, and Ross couldn’t be more excited about the year ahead.
“I’m working on a lot of new music, and without giving too much away, I’m hopeful that there’s a full-length album in the pipeline for the year.”
Following a strong 2025 of charting singles and touring, Days peels back another layer of Ross’ evolving identity.
“I’m excited for what lies ahead. I’ve enjoyed the journey that has gotten me to this place, and now I’m more than ready to continue to carve out the path that’s meant for me.”
