Enter Miss and Mr. Valley 2019 before 5 April

The search is on for the most beautiful in “The Valley” at Sun City in April 2019. Miss and Mr Valley 2019 will be crowned at the Valley of Waves on the 6th of April with the lush African bush as the backdrop and lively entertainment by local artists providing the soundtrack to the occasion.

The stakes are high in this being the 20th annual edition of Miss Valley and the 17th edition of Mr. Valley. There are prizes amounting to over R350 000 to be won including a trip to Italy worth R60 000, weekend stays at Sun City, clothing vouchers, makeup, hair products and more. The pageant, which has grown in stature over the years, is also a fundraiser for local charities close to Sun City’s heart. Previous winners have gone on to win Miss SA and Miss Universe, while others have featured in magazines and TV adverts after being crowned.

The competition is open to the bold and the beautiful aged 3 to 26 years. The categories for entry to the Miss Valley pageant are 3 to 5 years; 6 to 8 years; 9 to 12 years; 13 to 17 years: 18 to 26 years and categories for Mr. Valley competition are 8 years and younger; 9 to 15 years and 16 and up. The cost to enter the competition is R350 per contestant and the closing date for entries is Friday, 5 April 2019. Spectators are welcome and tickets can be obtained at the Valley of Waves for R100 per adult and R50 per child.

As always, the Valley of Waves will be a hive of fun-filled activities, including the two newest water slides; Ovango, a breathtaking, 155 metre long slide and Noble’s Descent, the ultimate body slide adventure in a capsule. Guests now have access to indulge at two quality eateries; the rustic microbrewery-themed gastropub, The Brew Monkey, and a fast food arena, Food Factory.

There are five more thrilling slides to try at the Valley of Waves, with a ride for every comfort level, from an easygoing tubing experience to semi-submerged waterslides that spiral downhill.

Other attractions at Valley of Waves is the Roaring Lagoon, a 6500 square metre wave pool with hydraulic mechanisms that generates waves of nearly 2 metres high, and the Lazy River that offers a gentle, non-stop tube ride around an island. There are also several walkways through tropical forests surrounding where you can explore the Spider Web Sway Bridge, hidden cave waterfalls, rare plant varieties and more.
