Kevin Fraser’s to “Heart of the World” holiday season new show on a 7-city SA safari
What is it really, that makes Africa the Heart of the World? They say the world has seven continents, but only one has a heartbeat: Africa. It’s not just a place; not just a memory. It’s that pulse that reminds us how to feel. How to dance through difficulty. How to laugh through pain. And how to keep going when life says “Hayi, khona!” (“No, not today”).
Kevin Fraser — part comedian, part cultural interpreter, part Poitjie Pot Genie — is ready to stir the pot and serve the flavours of Africa with satire, spirit and a suspiciously deep understanding of aunties.
From Pretoria to Cape Town and Nelspruit to Knysna, this isn’t just a comedy tour: it’s a pilgrimage into the rhythm, chaos and character that make Africa the Heart of the World.
Fraser invites audiences to join him as he travels across South Africa – not on safari, not as a tourist, but as a truth-teller with jokes. He’s a one-man army of accents who understands the value of a packet of Fritos, a cousin with a bakkie and a laugh that rattles your ribs like thunder on a tin roof.
In the Heart of the World, a goat might interrupt your set, but people will never interrupt your purpose. Africa is where we laugh not because life is easy, but because life is ours. And life is filled with rhythm, with patience and with presence. Whether you move like a cheetah, or an elephant, simunye: we are one. And we all to arrive at the same oasis, where we can come laugh, come listen – and come home.
Kevin Fraser’s trademark “entertainment comedy” style combines stand-up comedy, dance, and performance skills that captivate audiences, bringing out the laughter, joy and memorable moments. Expect ranting, raving, belly-laugh commentary – and sporadic dancing!
Fraser’s previous tours, The Minister of Entertainment, Africa is a Feeling and Imagination sold out locally and went on to tour the UK, Middle East, Europe and Australia to critical acclaim.
Kevin Fraser is a prodigious entertainer whose journey began with an unshakable passion for performance. At just 16, he launched his career in Durban, South Africa, as a DJ – known for his infectious energy and signature blend of sassy house beats. But for Fraser, music was just the beginning.
In 2013, he moved to Johannesburg, where he quickly rose through the ranks of the entertainment scene, electrifying audiences with his charisma and stage presence. Whether lighting up dance floors or commanding festival crowds, Fraser’s performances were always more than sets – they were experiences.
Fraser founded Cream Kulture, his own entertainment brand, shortly after relocating to Australia in 2014. This marked a shift into producing national events and, soon after, a bold pivot into comedy and content creation. By 2015, he had struck a nerve with audiences, sharing his expat tales and comedic insights through quintessentially South African characters. His content went viral, resonating with global audiences and establishing him as a standout performer in the digital comedy space. Today, his online community spans continents, united by laughter, culture, and Kevin’s ever-evolving imagination.
For Heart of the World, Kevin Fraser is collaborating with singer Siki Jo-An, finalist on The Voice SA and a successful performing artist.
“I can’t wait for people to hear the song we’ve created together,” says Fraser. “It adds a whole new aspect to the project, beyond the laughs.”

About Kevin Fraser
Kevin Fraser, previously known as Spindoctor, began performing at the age of 16 as a DJ in his hometown of Durban, South Africa. He quickly became known as a quirky, techy DJ who fused sassy house beats with soulful vocals, adding percussive flavour to afrolutionize his sound.
In 2013, by the time he made the career move to Johannesburg, he had built a powerful reputation and eclectic following in the industry. He was known for his versatility and his connection with varied audiences thanks to the high energy he brought to the stage. Since then, Kevin has entertained over 100 venues and festivals across South Africa, Miami, Australia, the UK, Europe and Indonesia. He has organized some of South Africa’s hottest parties as a key ambassador for entertainment gurus, G&G Productions. It was with them that Kevin performed for dynamic crowds of up to 12,000 people. He shared the stage with the likes of Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack and Avicii.
Kevin’s entrepreneurial skill inspired him to develop not just an entertainment brand, but a label that speaks to a niche market of performers and entertainment players alike. He founded Cream Kulture in 2013, coordinating all his own events, developing apparel, and being the ambassador of his own brand. After his move to Australia in 2014, Kevin’s passion for performance and his natural comedic talent started to evolve into something truly unique. Before long, he realised he could not only make people dance, but laugh a little too. Kevin began releasing videos about his experience as an ex-pat abroad and did so through the guise of stereotypical South African personas. The success of these videos was instantaneous. Kevin’s career took off, and his fan base exploded.
He has since broken the 1 million view mark with one of his more famous South African personas in “The Melbourne Train Ride” and “Honourable Teletubbies”. This gift for entertainment has now found him on the stage, performing for thousands of fans across the globe. Kevin brings a unique fusion of music and comedy to the stage and delivers truly inimitable performances. At the end of 2022, Kevin toured South Africa debuting his latest show, “The Ministry of Entertainment.” In 2023 Kevin successfully toured the UK, Middle East, Europe and Australia with his “Africa is a Feeling” six city tour.
