Spooktacular Gathering of Geeks: A Halloween Extravaganza for Nerds and Enthusiasts!

Calling all ghouls, wizards, and heroes of every realm! Prepare for a spine-chillingly spectacular gathering of geeks at the Halloween-themed extravaganza set to take place on the 28th of October 2023 at Garden on 4th, Linden from 10h00.

Geek and alternative enthusiasts are invited to don their most spellbinding costumes and join this bewitching event, where imagination knows no bounds. The gathering promises a day of frightfully fun trick or treats for the kids, dress up competitions for children and adults, stalls to delight every geek and nerd at heart, retail therapy plus spine chilling, delicious food and more.

After a successful first gathering in September, Gotcha Pizzeria, KE AI and YES SIR! Events are thrilled to bring its second Geek and Alternative Gathering.

“Last month we held an incredibly successful gathering for the geek and alternative community, and so we are thrilled to be partnering up with Garden on 4th again in October to continue this monthly event” says organiser Franco Ferrarese.

“This month is halloween and we encourage patrons to dress up and join us for a fun day of shopping, mouth watering food and traditional, halloween fun”.

Highlights of the event include:

  1. Cosplayers
  2. Trick or Treats: Children are encouraged to trick and treat at each stall on the day. Sweet bags can be purchased at the door.
  3. Dress Up competition for adults and children: A chance to showcase your Halloween-themed geeky attire and compete for spine-tingling prizes.  Dress us and take part in our Halloween ‘fashion show’ to stand a chance of being crowned the best dressed ghoul or gal this Halloween. We will be holding two separate competition for children and adults – times to be confirmed.
  4. Retail Therapy: Explore a marketplace filled with unique geeky and alternative merchandise, perfect for adding to your collection.
  5. Live Music and Fire performers: Enjoy our live music and entertainers as you parade your costumes and shop.
  6. Delicious Food: Restaurants will be open so you can take a break from all the fun and replenish with delicious food and drinks.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed to impress in their most hauntingly creative costumes. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in a day of Halloween magic, camaraderie, and geeky revelry!

About Gotcha Cafe Pizzeria:
Gotcha Pizzeria was started by restauranteur Goran Trajkovic in 2019 and developed its own following within the Linden community.

In 2021, Goran had an opportunity to return to Serbia and put the restaurant up for sale.

Former SABC News division specialist video editor, Daz Jalaser decided it was time for a career change, saw the potential in Gotcha and decided to take a leap of faith. As they say ‘The rest is history’.

Armed with great regulars and a loyal customer base – Gotcha Pizzeria has evolved into a great spot for locals including families, artists, and all pizza lovers whether its for a simple lunch or a special occasion.

Striving to produce great food backed by excellent service has only enhanced its reputation as a community favourite.

Gotcha Cafe Pizzeria boasts a beautiful outside area to enjoy their delicious wood-fire pizzas and light meals along with drinks. Also check out their biltong shop where you can sample their popular honey-glazed beef biltong amongst other choices. There are also vegan and gluten free options on the menu.
