M-Net Unveils Jam-packed Festive Line-Up Across its Movie and Series Channels.

From Local Christmas Movies to Spirited Specials, Here’s What to Look Forward to this festive…

Now that the festive season is upon us, M-Net comes bearing the best treats to excite the entire family and get South Africa into the best festive mood. So, get ready to spend the most wonderful time of year watching cheerful offerings from November to December.

Leading the line-up is a proudly South African Christmas celebration. For the very first time, M-Net will screen six new local Christmas movies on DStv channel 101 and M-Net Movies 1 (DStv Channel 104). These feel-good family movies, showcase breath-taking scenery across different provinces and cultures in South Africa, show how people celebrate the Christmas season in various communities.

A Zulu Christmas

What if a young boy who is used to the city life, being spoiled by his mother and getting his way, has to spend Christmas with his grandmother on her farm in KZN? Will he rediscover his heritage and find a deeper meaning in Christmas?

Alongside the local festive movies, viewers will be treated to an extra dose of festive cheer. From 27 November 2020 till Christmas day, movie lovers can countdown to Christmas by enjoying heart-warming, uplifting, and funny international Christmas movies with the whole family daily at 17:00 on M-Net Movies 1 and every Friday night on M-Net 101. The line-up includes exciting movies like Lucy Shimmers and the Prince of Peace, Last Christmas, A Very Nutty Christmas, and Homegrown Christmas.

M-Net Movies 3 (DStv Channel 107) will also spread the Christmas cheer with a Festival Feels movie collection, which will delight viewers every weekday from 08:00 to 17:00 with popular holiday-themed movies such as A Stone Cold Christmas, Fred Claus, A Madea Christmas, Jingle All the Way, A Christmas Switch and more.

To keep the festive spirit going, M-Net 101 will also be delivering Christmas specials of famous shows, including Michael Bublé Music Special, Bon Jovi Music Special, The Royal Variety Performance, and The Voice S19 Christmas Special. Additionally, the fan-favourites Animania festival and Kids Club Festival, which have been entertaining kids and the young at heart, will return with great curated experiences.

All festivals and themes will be made available on CatchUp and form part of the curated playlists.

With the new DStv Add Movies offering, DStv Compact Plus, Compact, Family, and Access customers can get access to the festive offerings on M-Net Movies 1 as well as blockbuster movies on M-Net Movies 2 (DStv channel 106) and fliekNet (DStv channel 149), for an extra R99.
