BBC Lifestyle Is Looking Sweeter In 2023 With The Return Of The Great South African Bake Off

Applications open for the Great South African Bake Off Season 4 from Wednesday 14th December
The new season will air on BBC Lifestyle in 2023

The hunt to find South Africa’s best batch of amateur bakers is on as the Great South African Bake Off returns to BBC Lifestyle (DStv channel 174) next year! The Love Productions format will once again be produced locally by award-winning production company Rapid Blue and filming for the ten-part series will take place in Johannesburg.

Applications for Season 4 are now open and close on Sunday 29th January and information on how to apply can be found here.

This creative competitive baking show is sure to provide tasty inspiration and culinary fun as amateur bakers pull out all the stops to impress the judges with their originality and skill, ultimately hoping to bake their way to the final. Each week the bakers race against the clock to deliver a mouth-watering, show-stopping creation and after ten weeks of whisking, kneading and piping, only one can be crowned the winner.

The Great South African Bake Off is produced by Rapid Blue for BBC Lifestyle. The series is based on the British format by Love Productions which has been licensed to over 35 countries around the world including Australia, France, Germany, Brazil and Denmark.
