GallivantingSA Launches Innovative Camping App
GallivantingSA, a dynamic name in the camping community, revolutionises the camping experience with their new App launched at the Caravan SA Show 2024 on at Gallagher Estate from 23 to 25 February 2024.
The GallivantingSA App is a free-to-use mobile campsite and services directory catering to campers, caravaners, motorhome enthusiasts, camper-van owners and 4×4 adventurers seeking campgrounds across Southern Africa, including Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique.
Boasting an interactive and user-friendly design, this new GallivantingSA App replaces the original App-store version, providing a seamless experience for users to locate campsites, plan trips, and enhance their overall camping experience.
Key features of the new GallivantingSA App include:
- Map functionality for easy navigation and location of campsites;
- Pins on the map based on user search criteria, in a clutter-free environment;
- Robust filter functionality to tailor search results to individual preferences;
- Comprehensive campground listings with 900 sites already listed and growing weekly;
- Descriptions for each campsite, highlighting amenities such as power, braais, water points, nearby services and much more;
- User-friendly tutorial library and email-based support;
- Advice on camping related matters such as packing lists, homologation and again, much more.
- Hosted on the cloud, makes the new GallivantingSA App always up-to-date and as as fast as the internet connection allows.
GallivantingSA founders, Alan and Sandy Morton, seasoned campers with extensive experience of overland travel and camping, conceived the App in a bid to streamline the overall camping experience. The App is an extension of the website, which has seen rapid growth since its launch in July 2022.
