Fourways brings the festive spirit to life with the Jingle Bell Academy

Fourways Mall is stepping into the festive season with a line-up that brings together holiday magic, relaxed entertainment and thoughtful conveniences for visitors. The centrepiece of this year’s programme is the return of Santaland for its sixth year, themed as The Jingle Bell Academy, a playful training ground where children can discover what it really takes to become Santa’s little helpers.

The Jingle Bell Academy brings festive imagination to life

Running from 10 to 24 December and open daily from 9 am to 7 pm, The Jingle Bell Academy will take the usual Santaland adventure even further, this time including a charming journey through a series of Christmas houses. Each stop along the way introduces young visitors to a different part of elf training, building up to their moment of “graduation” with Santa.

Children will get to decorate cookies, scoot through a magical chimney, practise stacking presents without waking anyone, write letters explaining why they would make excellent elves and listen to the gentle story of an elf’s journey. Along the way they will enjoy festive face painting, explore toys, browse a little Christmas shopping and engage in lively activations from Exclusive Books and Oh My Cake. The experience ends with a photograph with Santa to seal the memory.

Tickets cost R50 per child and can be booked at Quicket. Pre-booking is recommended.

Festive fun and special events across the mall

December at Fourways Mall offers plenty of things to do for families looking to spend time together. Experiences like Adventure Golf, Bounce, Ster-Kinekor’s Cinema Prestige and dedicated kids cinema, The Fun Company, Xtreme Go-Karting, Total Ninja Interactive, Shooters, Bloc 11 and Urban Playground’s skate park, indoor soccer and eSports arena all offer enjoyable ways to spend a day out.

The mall will also host two major special events this festive season. The popular Night Market returns on Friday 28 November featuring live entertainment, children’s activities, festive food and a relaxed bar area on Level 7, giving the evening an inviting, family-focused atmosphere. The rAGe Expo, South Africa’s biggest eGaming gathering, will take place from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 December on the level 8 rooftop parking.

Shopping, wellness and effortless convenience

Festive shopping at Fourways Mall brings a world of choice, with more than 350 stores across every imaginable category. Additional to those known and loved by shoppers, new stores that opened recently include Birkenstock, Old School, Lacoste, Crocs, Burnt, Street Gym and Hey Dude. Plus, the centre also recently welcomed a Mangwanani Spa, Match Padel, Planet Fitness, RPM Gym and HPT Gym.

To make the season even smoother, free parking will be available daily after 5 pm and the centre’s recently extended trading hours will make it easy for visitors to enjoy the festive ambience and shopping at their leisure. Most stores in the mall are now open from 9 am to 8 pm from Monday to Saturday and from 9 am to 7 pm on Sundays and public holidays.

To keep the spirit of giving at the heart of the season, the centre’s gift wrapping station will once again support the Smile Foundation. From 28 November to 24 December, gifts can be wrapped for R20 each at the kiosk outside Lady Naledi plane, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.

Fourways Mall’s festive programme blends heartwarming seasonal activities with the convenience of great shopping and entertainment. With The Jingle Bell Academy leading the way, the centre is ready to welcome visitors for a December filled with light, laughter and easy festive moments.
