Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa Welcomes Winter with Its Wine Society Events

Set against the Helderberg mountains and surrounded by some of the Cape’s most acclaimed vineyards, Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa stands as one of the Winelands’ most refined retreats. This winter, the hotel invites wine enthusiasts to experience its Wine Society evening- a celebratory series of South African wine culture.

A signature feature of the winter social calendar, these intimate gatherings have become a favourite among returning guests and discerning locals alike, offering a welcoming setting in which to explore South Africa’s diverse wine landscape. Hosted monthly within the warm, inviting surrounds of Magnolia Social Dining Lounge – anchored by its glowing fireplace – the events bring together acclaimed winemakers, thoughtfully curated cuisine, and an atmosphere centred on social dining, discovery and connection.

Each event unfolds as a guided tasting led by the boutique hotel’s culinary team, alongside three featured winemakers and presenter Nick Plummer. Guests are invited to sample up to ten carefully selected wines over the course of the experience. The tastings are complemented by a thoughtfully curated menu designed to complement the wines on show, enhancing their individual flavour profiles, and conclude with a dessert course to round off the evening on a memorable note.

Priced at R495 per person, the Wine Society evenings are intentionally intimate, offering guests an experience that balances relaxed social dining with meaningful storytelling from the makers behind each bottle.

The June and July editions will spotlight an exceptional collection of acclaimed local producers, each bringing its own distinctive sense of place and winemaking philosophy to the table.
