Conversetions Launches National Platform With Durban – First Social Club Experience
Conversetions, a national online publication and chart platform focused on music, entertainment, and culture, officially launches in Durban, chosen as the first city to activate the Conversetions Social Club, a monthly gathering that celebrates music, brands, culture, and the people shaping the entertainment industry.
The launch aims to spotlight Durban’s beauty and culture while attracting national and international attention, positioning the province as a hub for creativity and tourism.
Conversetions is a multi platform ecosystem with three pillars:
Digital Platform & Chart
Highlighting African and international music trends, offering authoritative weekly charts and editorial content. The platform also kicks off its first cover reveal for April featuring popular radio personality Kyle Deutsch, celebrating his influence on South African music and culture.
Conversetions Social Club
The Social Club is a monthly activation in Durban bringing together entertainment industry stakeholders to network, celebrate, and experience culture firsthand. The initiative is designed to showcase Durban’s heritage, foster creative collaboration, and draw national and international tourism to the province.
Conversetions Podcast
“It Starts Here“: A visually styled, cultural video podcast hosted by Sade Simons, featuring intimate and inspiring conversations with South Africa’s tastemakers in music, fashion, and sport. The first episode, recorded during the launch, features Kyle Deutsch, highlighting his journey and insights on South African music and culture. The podcast is designed to inspire Gen Z and Millennial audiences (18–35) with authentic, culture-driven storytelling across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
The official launch event takes place on 2 April 2026 at Capello After Dark, bringing together media, influencers, creatives, and tastemakers to experience the platform, Social Club, April cover reveal, and first podcast episode.
