Mzansi Magic channel 161 is ready and excited to be hosting
Clash of the Choirs South Africa auditions in nine provinces.
Mzansi Magic is looking for 16 or more individuals per province that will transform into a choir from all nine provinces. We are excited for the returning season (4) and what is unique about this season is that we are visiting all nine provinces which is a game changer and highlight for season 4.
Clash of the Choirs South Africa auditions will be hosted in the following province and on these dates:
- East London (Friday 21 July) – Miriam Centre Of Performing Arts (TODAY)
- Western Cape (Monday 24 July) – Good Hope Christian Centre (Choir Master Vusi Nova)
- Northern Cape(Friday 28 July)- NC Theatre
- Bloemfontein(Monday 31 July) – Pacofs
- North West(Monday 4 August)- Meropa Casino
- Limpopo(Friday 7 August) – Mmabatho Convention Cente
- Mpumalanga (Friday 11 August)- TBC
- Durban(Tuesday 15 August) – Playhouse
- Johannesburg (Saturday 19 August)- Urban Brew
- Please Note: Locations are subject to change
This year, after 7 year hiatus, the show will come back with season 4.
The series will start on Mzansi Magic channel 161 on DStv on Sunday 24 September 2023 at 6 pm for 13 weeks.
The winning choir receives the grand prize of R1 million and a generous donation to a charity of the winner’s choice. There are also great prizes in store for the viewers.
South Africa has a lot of talent and Mzansi Magic has been at the forefront of finding talent both in our reality and scripted shows. Clash of the Choirs South Africa is one such format that does this successfully through the ensemble of talented singers that come together in the choir.

Mzansi Magic encourages interested individuals to take advantage of this opportunity – and enter online or apply in person here.
