Yesteryear was inspired by a period of reflection, as Charlie found himself thinking back to his younger days—holidays filled with family and friends, laughter echoing through familiar spaces.
“It’s about calling out and hoping someone hears you,” says Charlie. “Those moments from the past were so full of love and togetherness, and I never want to lose that feeling. This song is for everyone I loved back then and everyone I love now—because the joy of yesterday never really leaves us.”

Born and raised in Johannesburg, Charlie Harris’s journey with music began at the age of 13 after learning a few chords from his uncle and receiving his first guitar soon after. Music quickly became a place of freedom and self-expression, eventually leading him through various band projects — including Hemisphere and Radio Unfriendly — before forming Keep Guessing Charlie with close friends.
With two albums released — Digital Dust (Side A) and Digital Dust (Side B) — Charlie has built a reputation for honest storytelling, emotional depth, and songs rooted in real experience.
