Hip Hop Artist Pablo Lee visits the Dzulani Place of Safety Centre for Children on his Mission to Change the Narrative.
17 November 2021– Following the successful release of his debut single “Little (Told My Momma)” feat. DaviesThePreacher, Pablo Lee takes some time to celebrate the success of his debut single, the non-traditional hip hop way by giving back, with his visit to the Dzulani Place Of Safety Centre for the children in Vosloorus, Gauteng Province.
With his latest single expressing humbleness, self-awareness and self-growth and now this beautiful outreach initiative Pablo Lee continues on his mission to break the stigma around Hip Hop artists and is here to change the narrative.
Pablo Lee and his team made their way to the local South African children’s home to share almost R10 000 worth of much-needed groceries and supplies with the Dzulani Place Of Safety Centre for the children. These supplies included; Maize meal, rice, toilet paper, bath soaps, Dettol, milk and more.
The organisation was established in 2013 by Mrs. Nelisiwe Prudence Nelukau who turned her home into a place of safety for the children since there was an extreme shortage of safety centres for children in the precinct. This shelter was built especially for children who have been abandoned, neglected, exploited, and are victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse by the culprits within their family and for children who need care and protection services as a whole. The vision of Dzulani Place Of Safety is to create a safe and secure environment for all children of the Republic Of South Africa.
Not only did Pablo Lee and his team take the time to donate the much-needed goods and groceries to the kids, but he also made the invaluable effort to spend time with the children, talking to them and encouraging them. Pablo Lee and his team have been given a wish list by the organisation and they have promised the children of their return to fulfil some more items on the wish list. Pablo Lee is passionate about raising awareness and funds for Dzulani Place of Safety.
Pablo Lee on his experience at the Dzulani Place of Safety;
“I felt it on my heart to celebrate the success of my single differently. It was important to share my time and resources by giving back to the community. To offer hope and support and contribute in a positive way to the upbringing of these children’s lives. I was so excited and happy to share this moment with the children and give back in the way that I could. It was a special and moving day. We chose Dzulani Place of Safety because Mama Nelly is a retired nurse who raises 24 children without government funding. We know how much Mama Nelly needs the support of the community and how difficult the journey has been for her.”
The organisation struggles with the extreme lack of financial resources and support. If you wish to support, donate, or get involved in any way with Dzulani Place of Safety, please feel free to contact Kgomotso Gobeni – +27 78 770 3936 or email@example.com
