Bobby makes our limbs “come alive” again with a new love dance song
The beloved Afrikaans singer Bobby van Jaarsveld is back with a brand-new single titled Lief My Weer Lewendig (Love Me Alive Again). This song, written by the talented Johan Oberholzer, is about the powerful effect of love on our lives. Whether it’s your husband, wife, children, or any loved one, love has the power to make us come alive.
Bobby hopes that the public will receive the song well and that they can immerse themselves in it.
“I released a dance song a long time ago and the market is quite in the mood for a bit of dancing these days,” Bobby added.
According to Bobby, this song is in a different style from his previous single, Verlore Seun (Lost Son), which was released earlier this year. “I think people will be able to play it for the person they love.”
“For me, the song also feels spiritual because I can sing it to God. His love makes me come alive again and again and again so many times. I think everyone can understand what the song is about. Sometimes we find ourselves in dark, strange places, but love covers everything,” Bobby said.
“I hope people also hear the story behind the story, that it will touch someone’s heart.”
A music video filmed by Gerduan Kemp is also in the pipeline, but Bobby doesn’t want to reveal too much about it. This music video, which is now available on all streaming services, makes the viewers feel as if they are enjoying a Bobby performance in the comfort of their living rooms.
Everyone already knows Bobby van Jaarsveld is not just a singer, but also a keen actor. It is therefore very exciting that he will also be seen from August 9th in the sexy romantic comedy Eksie Perfeksie on Showmax, along with other stars such as Pietie Beyers, Emma van Heyn, Sean van Noordwyk, and many more.
“I really enjoy acting and I am so grateful for all the opportunities that come my way,” he adds.
With a career spanning almost two decades, Bobby says there isn’t much to single out except for the incredible people he has met and the legendary moments he has experienced.
“The big highlights will always be the audience who come to the shows and support me. After 20 years in the industry, since my first album, I am still grateful for everyone who shares my journey.”
