King Wanda Wins Week 6 Head of House Crown and Nine Housemates Face Possible Eviction
The Big Brother Bazozwa house woke up on Monday (16 February) with serious post-Sunday blues. Following Neliswa’s shock disqualification hot off the heels of Dube’s eviction, the vibes in the house were pretty heavy, the tension was palpable.
The housemates were deep in their feels, all replaying the drama and trying to make sense of how things spiralled that fast. But in Biggie’s house…the show must go on!
Head of House Challenge
When Monday evening came around, it was time to put their precision skills into use: The Head of House [HoH] challenge kicked off with Didi, Que, King Wanda and Bravo B stepping up first. The mission was to stack cans and knock them down with tennis balls. Sounds simple, but it was clearly not! It was all about focus and steady hands. King Wanda wasted no time and was the first to clear his cans and secure a spot in the next round.
In round two it was The Don, Thandeka, Liema and Mmeli under the spotlight. With pressure building, both Thandeka and The Don were disqualified for stepping over the line while Liema, kept it clean and booked her place in the next stage.
They were followed by Ashay, Trixie, Tumi the Barber and Ramona and after a tight showdown, Ashay grabbed the final qualifying spot.
It all came down to King Wanda vs Ashay in a hopscotch-style decider where King Wanda outplayed Ashay and officially secured the Week 6 HoH crown.
Voting for this week’s nominated housemates closes tonight at 21:00. Fans are encouraged to cast their votes to ensure their favourite housemate secures a spot in the competition for another week.
Nominations: No Sleeping on Biggie’s Watch
Soon after the challenge, it was diary room time. With immunity locked in, HoH King Wanda couldn’t be nominated but for the rest, it was smoke!
- Didi kicked things off, nominating Thandeka for creating an uncomfortable vibe and Que for comments that didn’t sit right with her.
- Ashay also put Que on blast following Saturday’s chaos, and added Mmeli, saying he feels Mmeli’s game has shifted since getting closer to Thandeka.
- Trixie went strategic, nominating Thandeka as a strong contender and Que for his remarks toward Didi.
- The Don nominated Que over personal differences and added Ramona, calling her a serious competitor.
- Ilano picked Thandeka for not taking accountability and added Trixie as part of his game plan.
- Ramona chose Liema, saying she plays a calculated game and Thandeka due to their ongoing tension.
- Que nominated The Don for lacking direction and Didi for being too involved in other people’s business.
- Thandeka put Liema on the list for stirring situations and nominated Didi, referencing past tension.
- Bravo B selected Tumi the Barber and Ramona as part of his competitive strategy.
- Tumi the Barber nominated Mmeli and Liema, saying both are threats.
- Mmeli chose Ramona and The Don for their strong competitive energy.
- Liema nominated Thandeka, admitting there’s personal dislike, and added Tumi the Barber, saying his energy makes her uneasy.
- And HoH King Wanda? He put Ramona and Mmeli on the block, noting they had previously nominated him.
That brings the total to nine housemates facing possible eviction: Mmeli, Liema, Didi, Thandeka, Trixie, Que, Tumi the Barber, The Don and Ramona. This left Ashay, Bravo B and Ilano safe. Before dropping the nomination list to the house, Biggie issued a stern warning, telling housemates “Big Brother will not tolerate any sleeping during the nominations!“. This was after the housemates were seen napping in the lounge while they waited for their turn to nominate.
You still have a chance to vote for your favourite housemate. Voting closes at 9pm on Thursday. More details on how to vote can be found here.
The Week’s Theme: EGONTSHINI
Ghetto Scandalous / Ghetto Fabulous
This week, the Bazozwa house is lit with full-on Mzansi flavour – loud, bold, and dripping with kasi swagger! The House steps into full ghetto scandalous, ghetto fabulous mode – sharp, gritty, and dangerously stylish.
Housemates must switch on their Mzansi street smarts: read the room, clock the threats, identify the real competition, and move like masterminds to stay in the game.
Expect card games, finda-finda, morabaraba, kasi cook-off, stokvel- style feasts, dance challenges, Swenkers Gala. Think vul’ isekele (make the circle bigger) – a mix of Sophiatown + Skothane + Pantsula + “modern” kasi fits.
House Reflections: Perspective & Reaction after eviction and first ever disqualification of this season
For the day, the Bazozwa housemates kept reflecting on the weekend’s events that caught everyone off guard.
King Wanda and Ashay unpacked the footage Biggie had shown before Neliswa’s disqualification with King Wanda admitting that he overreacted at first because he didn’t have the full context of what was said to Que before his response to Didi.
The house has been in full debrief mode. From Thandeka questioning Liema’s influence, to Tumi and Ramona debating Didi’s role, everyone is trying to connect the dots. Thandeka openly told Ilano and Ramona she believes Liema played a major role in the chain of events that led to Neliswa’s exit.
If there’s one thing Week 5 demonstrated it’s this: in the Bazozwa house, perception is everything. One comment becomes a reaction. One reaction becomes a storyline… before you know it, the whole game shifts overnight.
Now it’s all about wager preps and surviving until Sunday. In Biggie’s house, anything can happen and usually does.
