Six Mentors. Twelve Weeks. Unlimited Possibilities.
Meet the Masterful Mentors Behind Voices of Her
A woman’s voice is a source of power and a tool for change, enabling her to be heard, to inspire others, and to spark movements that transform families, communities, and generations. This belief echoed strongly among all six mentors as they gathered around the table to sift through more than 500 completed entries, each one representing a woman ready to make her voice heard.
The Betway Cares Foundation’s Voices of Her Mentorship Programme celebrates that power by creating a platform where female talent is nurtured, guided, and amplified. Following an exciting national call for entries and a rigorous judging process, the Top 12 finalists have now been selected, representing all nine provinces and preparing for the next step of this transformative journey: the mentorship phase.
With six mentors at the helm, the programme is designed to uncover raw talent and shape it into lasting careers. Each finalist will be guided through a transformative experience that blends artistry, education, and women’s empowerment.
A journey of growth and guidance, the mentorship will offer over five weeks of online learning and two weeks of in-person mentorship in Johannesburg. Finalists will receive expert-led training that covers every aspect of building a music career. From vocal performance and songwriting to personal branding, financial literacy, and career mapping, the programme ensures that participants are equipped with both the creative and practical tools to succeed.
Lead mentors Bucie Nqwiliso and Nomfundo Xaluva-Dyantyis bring award-winning artistry and industry wisdom, while gospel powerhouse HLE inspires stage presence and confidence. Industry veteran Margaret Motsage focuses on vocal technique, and creative director Bonnie Meslane helps finalists discover their unique identity. Financial expert Adele Barnard and music entrepreneur and executive Ninel Lara Musson complete the circle, guiding young women on financial planning and building sustainable music careers.
Bucie Nqwiliso, Lead Mentor for Voices of Her., says:
“For me, mentorship is about lighting the path for someone else and helping women step into their purpose with confidence and truth. This is something I’ve always wanted to do because, growing up in this industry, I wished I had received it. I’m grateful to BW Cares for making me fulfill young Buice’s dream.”
Nomfundo Xaluva-Dyantyis, Lead Mentor who joined the judging process virtually, adds:
“As women in music, we have a responsibility to open doors and share what we’ve learned. This programme is about giving young artists the tools to build their own sustainable journeys.”
This is mentorship with purpose. Each mentor is a role model who has walked the journey and now gives back by shaping the next generation of South Africa’s female voices.
Bakang Lethoko, Head of the Betway Cares Foundation, says:
“Voices of Her is about more than creating music; it’s about restoring dignity, expanding access, and empowering women to build legacies that last. When women are given the right tools and support, they don’t just transform their own lives, they elevate families, communities, and entire industries.”
Join the movement and witness the rise of South Africa’s next generation of female voices.
