Joburg Festival of Lights 2023 is set to dazzle this Festive Season
Joburg Theatre‘s highly anticipated annual Joburg Festival of Lights, is set to dazzle visitors to the Joburg Zoo this holiday season from 1 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.

As you step into this extraordinary festival, prepare to be spellbound by the larger-than-life illuminated animal characters meticulously designed to transport you to a magical realm. These lifelike creatures will glow and illuminate the night, creating a truly mesmerizing atmosphere that will leave you in awe. But the magic doesn’t stop there! The festival promises an auditory feast with captivating entertainment that will serenade your senses, creating a soundtrack that perfectly complements the enchanting visuals.
For the little festival-goers, there’s a lively children’s area filled with endless fun and excitement. They’ll have the time of their lives exploring and playing in this dedicated space, ensuring smiles and laughter all around.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their picnic blankets and camping chairs (please note that alcohol is strictly prohibited), creating an ideal setting for an evening under the stars. A variety of food stalls will be available, including the Stages restaurant, offering a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Ticket prices are as follows:
- R175 for adults, R100 for pensioners, and R75 for children aged 3 to 12 years, with package discounts available.
- Children under the age of 3 can enter for free.
